MABBA/OPA agreement to allow Ontario Athletes to compete in Manitoba
March 13, 2016

In previous competition years, there has been an agreement in place which allowed Ontario resident competitors to compete in Manitoba if they resided in the northwestern part of Ontario. Effective the 2016 competition year, this agreement is no longer in effect as the OPA has created a new show in Thunder Bay.

That being said, there is a grandfather policy in place for Ontario residents who had previously competed in Manitoba and are qualified to compete at the Provincial or National level. These competitors will still be allowed to continue to compete in Manitoba for as long as their qualification lasts and as long as they continue to be a member in good standing with MABBA. Should their qualification expire or their membership status is revoked, these competitors will no longer be permitted to compete in Manitoba and will have to enter the OPA stream of competitions.

For Ontario resident that have previously competed in Manitoba that have any questions regarding this agreement, please feel free to contact your respective MABBA chairperson.

'Radical Body Transformation" is a show about people from all walks of life, be it out of shape to IFBB pro's who utilize fitness to make change or who have overcome obstacles and achieved goals through fitness, everything from health and weight issues to overcoming social anxiety, personal trauma or reach a new goal. Often those featured end up competing in the NPC, CBBF or IFBB stage.

The show is distributed on the NPC official site It is produced and directed by experienced filmmaker and National Canadian competitive bodybuilder James Hergott and Executive Produced by NPC News Online Editor in Chief Frank Sepe & NPC President/ IFBB Pro League Chairman Jim Manion.

As 2016's competitive season rapidly approaches, and we continue to release new episodes of the first season, we have to start the process of finding people for season 2 (several episodes for season 1, are still being released).

Season 2 will be bigger and better than ever and will continue to improve in every respect. The premiere for season 2 is a planned double episode launch at a special launch party at the Mr. Olympia 2016!

What we are looking for:
- People looking to compete for the first time
- People who have competed who are looking to compete again or take things to a new level
-Competitors who have had to overcome an obstacle(s) or who have an interesting story, be it a tragedy, weight loss, hard gainer, emotional, physical or external issue
- People looking to lose weight or change their body (example, you are skinny and want to add muscle, you want a certain look, self improvement, take your physique to the next level)
- Interesting and unique personalities

We will be taking a look at potential participants both in Canada and the US.

How to submit:
Email me at with RBT casting and your name in the subject.

Include the following:
- Your name
- Where you live
- Age and occupation
- If you have a coach or not (if you do, who your coach is)
- If you plan to compete, if so then which show, where and when
- Or, if you are interested in a transformation, and if so what your goal is
- What about you is unique or interesting and/or what obstacles have you or are you overcoming
- Pics

I have been asked about sponsorship for second season, as of now there are no sponsors affiliated with the second season, so athletes will be able to represent their respective sponsors (subject to change if we get an offer/offers that are considerable).

Hergott's first feature film "All That I Need" debuted at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2005 and secured a limited theatrical release with Regal Entertainment Group. In 2009, Hergott wrote, directed and produced ten episodes of the MMA reality show "MMA Worldwide," which was distributed nationally on Mark Cuban's HDNET (now AXS TV). Later that year he traveled to Iraq and filmed a documentary about the first ever MMA Fight in Iraq titled "A Fight For The Troops", for which he received a Greywolf Medal by the US Army. In 2010 he wrote and executive produced the UFC Champion Georges St-Pierre documentary "The Striking Truth," which was distributed worldwide. In 2013 he became Business Director and Creative Consultant for "Generation Iron" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Narrated by Mickey Rourke. As a hobby Mr. Hergott is a national level bodybuilder and has placed at a number of events. He competes for IFBB feeder organization the Ontario Physique Association (OPA). Just over a month after an ulcer burst (resulting in a near death experience which required emergency surgery) Mr. Hergott competed at the Cobourg Naturals April 20th 2013. In 2015 he competed in the IFBB World Qualifiers.

The new Men's Physique and Women's Bikini Divisions has launched the NPC into the mainstream. 2014 Provincial Championship Information
May 16, 2014

2014 MABBA Provincial Championship Information Overall titles will be determined by the number of competitors in a category and classes. In Provincials there are 7 categories, in each category there are from 3 to 8 classes depending on the category. To win an Overall Title you are required to participate against other competitors in your category not just your class. If only one person is registered for that category, there will not be an Overall Title awarded for that category or if there were 3 or 4 in the same class unless you're going to be compared with competitors in your category from other classes within that category it's the same situation. The competitor who places 1st in the class will still receive a MABBA ring for 1st place and be allowed to compete at the 2014 CBBF Nationals. The 2nd and 3rd place winners will also be allowed to complete at the 2014 CBBF Nationals
